Hi, I'm Emily
I’m a UX Designer who loves finding research-backed solutions to user’s problems.
My passion for the field began when I combined my love of art and psycho-analyzing people by studying psychology while taking many art and design classes in college. During this time, I grew my research and design skills on a foundational level. Once I graduated, I started working in a healthcare position. In this role I learned many of the soft skills required for UX, such as leading meetings, effectively communicating with a team, actively listening to the user, and adapting to constant changes in the job.

I recently completed a 9-month UX/UI certification from Springboard to sharpen my UX design skills. In this program, I learned the fundamentals of UX/UI by completing several capstone projects, meeting weekly with an experienced UX mentor. Near the end of my bootcamp, I completed an internship with the company Ink Bloom to create an MVP of a website for writers to network, get feedback, and improve their skills.

I’m currently living in Salt Lake City, UT. When I’m not working on a design project, you can find me spoiling my dog like she is a human child, enjoying the outdoors, or experimenting with whatever creative medium sounds most exciting at the moment.
